Miss Jen
Teacher ISTD

Jennifer is the longest serving dance teacher at S J Dance, starting lessons in 2007 when Miss Williams was expecting her first child. Jennifer has not only become a much loved teacher, by pupils and staff alike, but also a great support to Samantha in the running of the school.

Jennifer started dancing at just three years of age when she started at the Janet Lomax School of Dance. It was here that she was introduced to ISTD Tap and Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Ballet. At seven years old Jennifer changed schools and continued with her training at the Rossendale Dance and Drama Centre and it was here that she began her United Kingdom Alliance Dance (UKA Dance) syllabus along with ballroom and Latin. By the age of fifteen Jennifer knew that this was to be her chosen career and successfully passed, with Distinction, her choreography exams on three levels.

Jennifer successfully gained a place at Preston Dance College studying on the four year Professional Dancers and Teachers course, studying health and safety, Life span and development and Teaching in the ISTD Syllabus. Here Jennifer passed all her major exams in Tap, Ballet, Modern and National dance. Having completed all of her exams, Jennifer became a fully qualified teacher allowing her to enter pupils into examinations.

Jennifer also works as a health care assistant at North Manchesters maternity ward, combing the two jobs with running a busy home life with her husband and children.
